Product description Eyepiece Imagers: Capture the Universe and Share, Tweet, or Whatever It Read More Specifically designed for astro-imaging, the Starlight Xpress monochrome Trius SX-16 CCD Imaging Camera is outfitted with a large-format high-resolution Kodak KAI 4070 interline CCD sensor that delivers stunning resolutions of up to 2048x2048, with good quantum efficiency across the entire visible spectrum peaking at 53% at 500nm. An onboard temperature-monitoring chip and integrated fan ensure the imaging system continues to work efficiently, while its argon-filled aluminum housing and micro lenses maintain a fog-free environment with maximum light transmission.A USB 2.0 interface allows you to download full-res 16-bit images to your Windows computer in just 2.5 seconds. The housing also sports three mini-B USB ports that act as a USB hub and allow you to connect peripherals and accessories—such as a guide camera, filter wheel, and electric focuser—and control them all, plus the camera, via the single tethered cable to your computer, greatly reducing cable tangle. Additionally, there is a dedicated ST4 autoguider port.This compact and lightweight imager comes with an array of cables and adapters for power and peripheral connections, plus two adapters to mount it directly onto drawtubes for conventional imaging, or onto compatible eyepieces for high-magnification afocal techniques. Alignment screws are provided for adjusting the chip so that it is perfectly parallel to the focal plane, with a generous 17mm back focus distance. - Computer Requirements
