Product description The 1-Port Native ExpressCard RS232 Serial Adapter Card with 16950 UART from StarTech allows you to add an RS232 serial port to your laptop or ExpressCard-equipped desktop computer. Its designed is based on a single-chip architecture that provides native PCIe communication for better performance and reliability by reducing the CPU load by up to 48%, with low power consumption. An included stabilizer bracket allows this device to fit snugly in both 34mm and 54mm ExpressCard slots. Providing optimal communication with RS232 serial devices, this ExpressCard serial card supports baud rates of up to 115.2 Kb/s and features a 128-byte FIFO buffer as well as a high performance 16C950 UART. - This card has a single-chip design that supports high performance 16C950 UART with baud rates up to 115.2 Kb/s and is backwards compatible with 16C550 UART
- The single-chip design optimizes speed, reliability, and power
- It is fully compliant with ExpressCard 1.0 specifications
- Supports ASPM (L0S, L1) link power management
- It has automated in and out-of-band flow control

Settings access and setup

I had a problem with Paperport loading. Through the remote efforts of a Tech was able to get back online, however, "settings" are only listed 1 - 5 with no action listed as was 'visibly' available, (i.e. Scan both sides, Black and White, Color, etc.)
