Product description Run the video and audio signals from select laptops, extenders, and devices direct to a VGA projector or monitor with this HDMI to VGA Converter from StarTech. Designed to allow users to display presentations and documents on a VGA projector or monitor, this converter features an HDMI port supporting all devices with an HDMI interface. It also has a 3.5mm audio output so you can separately run audio since the VGA output is only capable of passing video. You can run up to 1920 x 1200 resolution video signals, including Full HD 1080p.
This converter requires no power source, as it gets its power from your HDMI source, but because it converts both video and audio, the power coming from your HDMI source may not be enough, depending on the source. For this reason this converter also has a USB port for supplementary power -- whenever your HDMI source doesn't provide enough power, just plug in a USB cable running from your computer, or connect a USB power adapter, and you'll have sufficient power. Everything works plug-and-play with no setup required. This converter is very compact and an easy accessory to carry in your bag. - Key Features
