Product description The black Mini DisplayPort to DVI Active Adapter from StarTech allows you to connect a Mini DisplayPort video source to a DVI-D display and an Apple Cinema Display HD. It eliminates the expense of upgrading to a DisplayPort capable monitor.
Unlike passive video adapters, this Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter offers active conversion for use with any Mini DisplayPort output, making it ideal for graphic cards that do not support multi-mode DP++ signals (such as ATI Eyefinity).This compact device provides a simple solution for adapting a PC or Mac Mini DisplayPort output for DVI monitors or projectors, and supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200. The Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter is compatible with Intel Thunderbolt when connected directly to a supporting DisplayPort over a Thunderbolt I/O port. - This Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter offers active signal conversion, which overcomes the limitation of some Mini DisplayPort video cards not being able to output a DP++ (multi-mode) signal
