Product description Insert the ST10000SPEX Single Port PCI Express 10 Gigabit Ethernet Network Card from StarTech into an available x4 slot on your computer or workstation and begin taking advantage of network speeds up to 10 Gbps. With support for data transfer rates this fast it is possible to move large files quickly, stream multimedia content, and much more. This NIC card comes fully compliant with the 802.3an networking standard denoting compatibility with the 10GBASE-T network protocol. Additionally, the ST10000SPEX is designed to work in a variety of systems including Windows and Mac based computers, as well as support for VMWare ESXI and Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization software, and the iSCSI network structure. Once installed, the ST10000SPEX supports the 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standard to offer reduced power consumption making this network card both fast and efficient. - 10 Gbps PCIe networking over standard Cat 6a cabling
