Product description The StarTech USB 3.0/eSATA 1:5 SATA 2.5"/3.5" Standalone HDD Duplicator & Eraser lets you clone the data from one SSD or 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDD to up to five SATA drives or use it as a six-bay docking station for your computer. The duplicator sports six drive bays that can accommodate SATA-based 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives as well as SSDs without using additional brackets or adapters. It comes with eSATA and USB 3.0 ports to connect with your computer, and two USB 3.0 ports are available for charging battery-powered devices.
Aside from duplicating data, the SATDOCK5U3ER is designed to erase the contents from up to five drives by utilizing Quick Erase and Multipass Overwriting (DoD) modes. Other notable features include two built-in fans for cooling your drives along with an onboard LCD display that provides duplication progress info, drive diagnostics, and review copy/erase results. - Productivity
- By copying data from one drive to five drives simultaneously, the hard drive cloner helps boost your productivity by avoiding the hassle of repeatedly swapping drives in and out during high volume duplication projects.
Additionally, the dock can erase the data on up to five drives simultaneously with multiple operating modes, including Quick Erase as well as Multipass Overwriting (DoD), which is suitable solution for permanently erasing confidential information to protect your business and your clients from identity theft. - Convenience
- With a built-in LCD display, the SATDOCK5U3ER makes it easy to monitor duplication progress and review copy/erase results and drive diagnostics during standalone operation.
The drive slots feature a dual-profile design to support hassle-free swapping between 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives and solid-state drives without having to use additional brackets or adapters. - Versatility
- With the option to connect the docking station through either eSATA or USB 3.0, the SATDOCK5U3ER provides a versatile solution for expanding the storage capability of almost any laptop or desktop computer. For fast performance, you can connect the docking station to your computer through eSATA for efficient data transfer speeds up to 3 Gbps. For broader system compatibility, you can connect the dock through USB 3.0, which is also backward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 host connections. The SATDOCK5U3ER also provides two charge-only, fast-charge USB ports. For mSATA and M.2 drives, sold separately SAT2MSAT25 and SAT32M225 adapters are compatible with this dock.
