Product description Add portable data storage at speeds up to 10 Gb/s to your USB Type-C enabled system, including the 2013 MacBook, Google Chromebook Pixel, and Dell XPS 12 using the USB 3.1 Type-C 2.5" SATA Drive Enclosure from StarTech. This enclosure supports 5, 7, and 9.5mm 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s, SATA II 3 Gb/s, and SATA 1.5 Gb/s hard drives or SSDs and is USB bus powered, meaning that no external power sources are required. The enclosure has been tested with drives up to 2TB in capacity with a rotational speed of 7200 rpm. Once this enclosure is equipped with a drive and connected to your system, it can be used to store a variety of files, as well as backup data. Integrated power and activity LED monitors will help users check the status of their drive, which is both plug-and-play and hot swap compatible, as well as OS independent.
Included with this 2.5" USB 3.1 Type-C drive enclosure are all necessary screws and a screwdriver. Protection is provided by a limited 2-year warranty with free lifetime technical support.
