Product description Record and stream incoming HD video with this StarTech Video Capture and Streaming Device. Component and HDMI video connections allow for analog and digital video input, respectively, while an HDMI output allows you to monitor the signal being recorded. Signals up to 1080p60 are accepted, though 60p video will be recorded as 30p. An onboard H.264 encoder compresses the incoming video, and with the three-way toggle switch, you can select between streaming that encoded video over the USB connection, recording it straight to a separately available SD card, or streaming it directly over Ethernet. Using the USB connection, video can be captured directly to your computer's storage, or streamed over the web in full-HD. Since the H.264 format is widely supported, it can be imported into most editing software without re-encoding. Recording to an SD card has the advantage of not needing a PC, making this device a very portable solution. The onboard Ethernet connection takes the guesswork out of streaming, providing a direct connection to the Internet for 720p HD streaming. - Capture or Stream Video
- On the front of the device is a memory card slot, which lets you record video directly to an SD card without having to connect the capture device to your computer. Direct recording saves time, while adding support for non-Windows based platforms such as Mac computers or Android tablets. Software is also included enabling you to stream or record content with your PC.
For hassle-free video streaming, the capture box also has a built-in RJ-45 Ethernet port that enables you to connect the capture device directly to your router or switch. With this stand-alone network connectivity you can instantly stream your video source over the Internet using streaming services such as Twitch at up to 720p30 resolution. - Included Software
- If you have a Windows PC, in addition to standard recording, the included software lets you take screenshots, schedule recordings, and instantly stream your video source over the Internet in full HD resolution (the built-in Ethernet connection is limited to 720p).
