Product description Available here as a boxed edition, the Steinberg Vintage Channel Strip bundles together three plug-ins suitable for mixing engineers working in a pro-audio context. One EQ and two compressors are provided, in effect making a complete channel strip. First you have the EQ 601, which aims to model a classic EQ from the 1970s. The plug-in offers six bands, with optional shelving/pass filters on the highs and the lows. The four midrange bands are fully parametric. Boosting bass, adding sparkly treble, notching out pesky resonances, and more are possible with this EQ. A Drive mode adds the harmonic saturation of analog channel strips into the mix. For '76-style FET compression—which excels on drums, bass, vocals, and guitars—the 276 compressor is provided. It operates in stereo and injects analog-style punch and heft into your signal. With an internal high-pass filter section, you can make sure the bass content doesn't trigger the compressor, and this can reduce unwanted pumping. The Compressor 260 gives you a VCA-style compressor that's suitable for drums, bass, and other rhythm instruments. It has a selectable knee button that changes the characteristic of the compression, as well as controls for attack, release, ratio, threshold, and output. These plug-ins are compatible with Mac and Windows machines. They can operate in VST and AU formats. Note: A USB-eLicenser is required to run this product. However, it is not included. It is available separately. Table of Contents
