Optical Performance

Use and Handling

Construction Details
• • Impact- and corrosion-resistant Makrolon polycarbonate chassis
  • Chassis' temperature resistance ensures it stays a comfortable handling temperature in cold or wet conditions, while resisting the expansion and contraction common with metal chassis that can cause the optical components to move out of alignment over time
  • Oil-, petroleum-, and chemical-resistant NBR synthetic rubber armor offers improved grip security, especially in cold and wet weather
  • O-ring sealed and nitrogen filled to be waterproof to 9.9' (3m) and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions
  • Tethered objective lens caps and one-piece ocular rainguard protect the lens surfaces without the fear of losing them when not in use
  • Ergonomic winged angled eyecups block stray light from interfering with views while improving contrast and limiting distractions
  • Broad -4 to 158°F (-20 to 70°C) operating temperature range
