Product description Designed and built for low-light performance, in even the harshest weather conditions, the Steiner 10x50 Military LRF Rangefinder Binocular is a combination of rugged high-power optics and long-range measuring device intended for tactical professionals on land or sea. The addition of the rangefinder to their iconic Military series maintains the exceptional binocular design elements expected from Steiner. Its precise IR laser rangefinder can measure distances from 20 to 1600 yards. For stationary targets, use the single-measurement mode or track moving targets with the scan mode for continuously updated distances. The in-view display shows distances in yards or meters, depending on your preference.Optically, the LRF keeps the features of the Military series including their shock-resistant floating prism system, their Sport Focusing System, and the anti-reflection multi-coatings. Its apparent angle of view approaches wide angle makes spotting and tracking game and targets fast and easy. The objectives draw in the large amounts of light required for seeing in low light, while the 10x power produces both a generous exit pupil and a field of view that is close to wide angle. This wide exit pupil ensures that the light leaving the eyepieces will completely cover most user's pupils when they open and become dilated in low light to present the entire field of view in most light conditions. All of these features, when coupled with the traditional Porro prism light path, present the user with an immersive observational experience defined by bright and clear high-contrast views and accurate color rendition.Complementing the optical and rangefinding performance are construction details that allow the binocular to withstand the rigors of the outdoors. These details begin with Steiner's Sport Focusing System which allows the user to focus each eyepiece, just one time, and eliminates the need to refocus again regardless of how near or far the subject is—even if it is moving. The chassis is made of a lightweight and impact-resistant Makrolon polycarbonate material that is wrapped in an oil-, petroleum-, and chemical-resistant NBR synthetic rubber armor that offers improved grip security, especially in cold and wet weather. The optical tubes feature raised ridges to improve grip security, while the interior of the tubes is nitrogen filled to be waterproof, submersible, and resistant to internal fogging. - Optical Performance
-
- 10x magnification allows for detailed observation of distant subjects
- Large 50mm objective lenses boost low-light performance

- Fully multi-coated optics improve light transmission for bright high-contrast images with accurate color rendition
- Floating prism mounting system helps to absorb impacts to avoid damage and maintain optical path alignment
- 57° apparent angle of view approaches wide angle to help minimize the appearance of distracting hand shake
- 300-foot field of view at 1000 yards
