Product description Steiner Optics's DBAL-D2 Green/IR Aiming Laser Sight is a durable yet compact tactical and covert operations aiming device that combines an easy-to discern green visible and infrared aiming lasers with a powerful IR illuminator. Its 850nm infrared laser is visible with NVDs up to 273 yards away, and the green has a max range of 16' during the day or 273 yards at night. The human eye is able to see green easily and at further distances than the commonly-used red, and is virtually invisible to most species of game, making it ideal for varmint hunting. The two lasers are co-aligned to allow the operator to zero or correct the impact point of both lasers simultaneously using the shrouded windage/elevation dials. Its illuminator beam is adjustable from a tight 2° spot for target designation, or it can be opened up to 30° to flood a large area.A rear-facing pushbutton activation switch is easy to find, even in the dark, and the included remote pressure pad switch increases the usability and operator safety by allowing them to control the DBAL-D2 while remaining in the firing position. The rotary selector switch, also rear-facing, enables the operator to quickly choose the output - green visible, IR laser, IR illuminator - and intensity to suit the targeting task. The laser system runs on a single CR123A battery with a max runtime of about 3 hours. A quick-release Picatinny rail mount is integrated into the overall design to help reduce the form-factor to make this sight ideal for use on with virtually any rifle platform. The housing is made of the strong and lightweight 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with a desert sand corrosion and scratch-resistant MIL-STD hard-anodized finish.
