Product description Steiner's Tri-Band MCID Beacon is designed to give a tactical advantage by empowering personnel with covert signaling capabilities in three optical bands: visible, NIR, and MWIR. It can be worn on helmets, MOLLE vests, and packs or attached to vehicles. For a simultaneous or separate operation of the three groups of LEDs, the device offers a dedicated On switch for each spectral band. The LED emitters are specially arranged to generate a wide-angle (200°) omnidirectional beam of infrared light.
To withstand the rigors of the battlefield and other adverse conditions, the polymer housing is lightweight, durable, and waterproof (submersible to 33'). Note: Export of this device described herein is strictly prohibited without a valid export license issued by the U.S. Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, as prescribed in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Title 22, Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 120-130, and/or by the U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry Security, as prescribed in the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Title 15, Code of Federal Regulations, Parts 730-780.
