Product description The 06-200 Low Base Square Tube Geared Crank Stand from Studio Titan America is a camera support with a steel shaft and a low-center-of-gravity base that makes it easy to roll under furniture, cars, and other obstructions on its 3" locking wheels. Implementing steel construction and square column sections and legs for superior strength, the stand can easily and safely support gear weighing up to 110 lb, mounted on its 1 1/8" receiver.Special note should be made regarding Studio Titan's use of a geared system for height adjustments over the commonly used windup systems. Windup stands use an internal cable rope to lift the support columns which over time can stretch, fatigue, and break. Whereas Studio Titan's geared crank takes its cue from industrial design by using an all-metal chain rack-and-pinion gearing system.
