Product description The next generation Stylophone GEN X-1 is a retro-styled portable analog synthesizer, well suited for music enthusiasts, professional musicians, and producers, as well as anyone looking to create quirky beats or haunting melodies in the palm of their hand. The GEN X-1 features the classic retro design with a chromed grill, a nickel-plated keyboard played with a brass-tipped stylus, a soundstrip for sliding notes, and a built-in speaker. The instrument also features a 3.5mm line input and a 3.5mm headphone/line output. The GEN X-1 provides classic analog synthesizer controls including a square wave oscillator with a PWM button along with buttons to generate a sub-oscillator at either one or two octaves below the main tone. A low-pass filter with cutoff and resonance controls, an envelope generator with attack and decay controls, and an LFO with a triangle/square wave selector, rate, and depth controls are available to help you sculpt the sound. Additionally, the envelope section also offers pitch, allowing the Env circuit to shape the oscillator pitch over time. The analog delay section provides echo and features delay time (D-Time) to set the time between echoes, feedback (F-Back) for controlling the number of repeats, and a level (E-Level) control. Other notable features include a pitch dial for fine tuning the GEN X-1 to other instruments, and a trim dial for calibrating the instrument should the instrument's tuning drift. The Stylophone GEN X-1 is powered by four AA batteries (not included). -
