Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Styrka's 10x42 S3-Series Binocular is engineered with complementary technologies to produce an optic that is built to perform in the harshest conditions. Its BAK4 roof prisms are phase-corrected and dielectric coated which limit internal light loss and diffraction, reduce chromatic aberration and halos, while improving image contrast. The optical path is fully multi-coated with their proprietary SXL anti-reflection coatings to further increase light transmission, image contrast and sharpness, and provide true color rendition. This all translates to bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color across the entire wide field of view. The wide view also helps to minimize the appearance of visible hand shake that is common with high magnifications. To hold up to a lifetime of outdoor use, the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to make them not only fogproof when moving between extreme temperature changes, but also waterproof and submersible to 3.3' for up to 30-minutes. The exterior has black rubberized armor that protects against knocks and drops, and offers a slip-resistant grip for sure handling in cold and wet conditions. Styrka includes a one-piece ocular rainguard and tethered objective lens covers, plus a binocular harness that keeps the binocular close to the body while moving to eliminate snags and swing, and relieve neck strain by redistributing the weight to the shoulders. - Optical Performance
