Product description The B&H Binocular Buying Guide Read More Engineered with a compact form factor without compromising critical optical performance, Styrka designed their 8x30 S7-Series Binocular as an instrument that combines optical performance with rugged construction to give hunters a valuable advantage in all weather and lighting conditions without bogging them down. Styrka employs multiple technologies to overcome the intrinsic issues common on smaller objective binoculars to produce bright, crisp and clear images with accurate color representation not normally associated with compact optics of this size.First, they use extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements and phase-corrected BAK4 roof prisms. This combination corrects chromatic aberration for rich and true color rendition. To increase light transmission, and enhance image brightness and contrast, are fully multicoated optics using the proprietary SXL-MAX anti-reflection coatings and dielectric prism coatings. The optical coatings are engineered to maximize light transmission across the entire visible spectrum which further increases the color accuracy, while the prism coatings reduce light loss through them to virtually zero. Its 8x magnification provides users with a larger field of view and angle of view over higher-power binoculars for a more immersive viewing experience, while the smaller objectives keep the size and weight down so as not to be overly cumbersome during a long day with a pack of full gear.Complimenting their optical performance are construction details that make it an ideal companion in all weather and conditions. The housing is nitrogen filled to make them fogproof with extreme changes in temperatures, and O-ring sealed to give them an IPX7 rating allowing them to be submerged to a depth of 3.3' for up to 30 minutes. Rugged armoring protects the binocular from drops and impacts while providing a slip-resistant grip - especially in cold and wet weather. A large center focusing wheel enables precise control even while wearing gloves, and tethered objective covers and ocular rainguard ensure that you won't lose them in the field during use. - Optical Performance
