Product description A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes Read More tbryrswcweazyabbdfucvqtffxcaaq Styrka's S7-Series 20-60x80 Spotting Scope is designed for use at long distance, in challenging lighting conditions, and in extreme weather. Its large oversized 80mm objective not only increases image brightness under normal conditions, it also counteracts the image darkening that can occur when the magnification is dialed up and extends its usability from pre-dawn to dusk or in heavily canopied areas. It features extra-low dispersion (ED) glass elements to correct chromatic aberration for rich and true color rendition. To increase light transmission and enhance image brightness and contrast, the optics are fully multi-coated with proprietary SXL-MAX anti-reflection coatings. The optical coatings are engineered to maximize light transmission across the entire visible spectrum, which further increases the color accuracy and image resolution. Rounding out the optical performance features are BAK4 prisms that further enhance contrast and resolution. With all the optical elements working together, images appear crisp, bright, and clear with high contrast and true color representation.The eyepiece is set at a 45° angle, which makes viewing through the scope more comfortable whether you're standing, sitting, or lying down. Its rotating tripod collar gives you the ability to adjust the eyepiece orientation relative to the base for optimum viewing comfort. Complementing the optical performance are construction details that make it an ideal companion in all weather and conditions. The housing is nitrogen filled to make it fogproof with extreme changes in temperatures, and O-ring sealed to give it an IPX7 rating, allowing it to be submerged to a depth of 3.3' for up to 30 minutes. Rugged armoring protects the binocular from drops and impacts while providing a slip-resistant grip, especially in cold and wet weather. Large coarse and fine dual focusing knobs give you the ability to quickly focus on your subject, then fine-tune the details without excessive hand movement. - Optical Performance
