Product description The Audio Tools Loudness Control for Harmonic ProMedia Carbon Software Plug-in by Minnetonka Audio includes two separately licensed software components intended for digital broadcast applications. The plug-in works with Harmonic ProMedia's Carbon transcoding software and consists of a comprehensive loudness measuring tool and an optional flexible loudness adjustment extension. The loudness measurement plug-in complies with all current broadcast standards including ITU-R BS.1770, ITU-R BS.1770-2, EBU R 128, EBU R 128 (2011), the Commercial Advertisement Loudness Mitigation Act (CALM), and ATSC's Recommended Practice A/85:2009: Techniques for Establishing and Maintaining Audio Loudness for Digital Television.
The software can measure program loudness, average loudness ITU, loudness range, momentary loudness, short-term loudness, and maximum true peak level. These measurements are then reported as an XML log file. You can measure mono, stereo, and multichannel PCM configurations. The overall loudness results of the measurements are reported within the file in one-second intervals.
The loudness adjustment extension can process mono, stereo, and multichannel PCM configurations up to eight channels in full compliance with EBU R 128, A/85 and other international standards. You can set target values for the adjustment parameters to prepare program material for a wide variety of audiences and applications. Table of Contents
