Product description The Maximus Rechargeable Variable-Output LED Headlamp from Surefire is a rechargeable variable-output LED headlamp with enough power to illuminate your entire campsite. Yet, if that's too much, you can dial it down for closer work to 1 lumen, or any level in between. This preserves your vision in the dark, and extends the battery's runtime.
Delivering an amazing 1,000 total lumens of light, the large knurled dial permits output control with one hand--even if it's gloved or numb from the cold. One hand can also aim the light right where you want it since the light assembly rotates up and down 90 degrees.
The SureFire Maximus utilizes a high-performance LED and a custom reflector to produce a wide and diffused beam, optimized for your natural field of vision, but which also provides impressive reach at its max 1,000 lumen setting. It is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that can provide years of use, and chargers for both wall-type AC outlets and 12V DC vehicle accessory outlets are included. A fuel gauge on the headlamp gives battery charge status, and a long-running SOS beacon provides an extra margin of safety when needed.
Built from tough, lightweight magnesium, the SureFire Maximus thrives in harsh conditions. It's also comfortable to wear, thanks to its no-chafe fine-weave headband and moisture-wicking Breathe-O-Prene forehead pad. Maximus Rechargeable Headlamp, even during long stretches of continuous use, will not get worn out-nor wear you out. - Virtually indestructible LED, regulated to maximize output and runtime

It’s not used much, estimated 20-30 hours total, and stays in my nightstand plugged in. It won’t power all the way up, it stays in “eco mode” where it’s about 100 lumens. The lamp has an orange light that comes on a minute or so, then blinks continually. Please advise | | Post reply |
