Product description The Swarovski #49177 is likely the best tripod adapter available because of its unique speed advantage. It allows you to attach specific Swarovski binoculars (as well as most other binoculars with a 1/4"-20 threaded tripod socket) to any tripod head with a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 threaded protruding screw. Its advantage versus competing designs is that a small portion of the adapter remains attached to your binocular's tripod socket, facilitating significantly quicker connections and disconnections from the tripod. No more fumbling to align and a twist a screw-and-threaded-hole connection. The greater speed comes at the expense of a higher price and a bit more weight than other binocular tripod adapters.The Swarovski 49177 tripod adatper also fits directly into the quick release assembly of Swarovski's remarkable FH101 fluid head ( item code SWFH101H), without the need of an additional quick release plate for the bottom of the tripod adapter. The FH101 head can be used upon any device having a 3/8"-16 or 1/4"-20 threaded tripod screw. - Speediest attachment/detachment of all binocular tripod adapters
