Product description When combined with another RackStation RC18015xs+ and at least one RXD1215sas 12-Bay Expansion Unit, the RackStation RC18015xs+ NAS Server from Synology is a storage solution that features a high-availability design, snapshot technology, and massive scalability up to 180 drives. By utilizing two RC18015xs+ units, one will act as an active server, while the other acts as a passive server. With this active/passive structure, services are automatically switched over to the passive server if the active server unexpectedly goes offline.
The RC18015xs+ runs using the Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM) OS, which is a browser-based operating system which helps to simplify managing your Synology NAS. Its CPU is a 3.3 GHz Intel Xeon E3-1230 v2 Quad-Core processor and its 8GB (2 x 4GB) of ECC RAM, which is upgradeable to 32GB (4 x 8GB), helps to ensure enterprise-level data accuracy and speed for mission critical tasks. Network connectivity is achieved using 4 x RJ-45 1GbE LAN ports with Link Aggregation / Failover support. When using dual 10GbE connections bonded with Link Aggregation, the RC18015xs+ deliver a throughput of over 2,270 MB/s and 355,400 IOPS. Supported RAID types include Basic, JBOD, RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10.
The RackStation RC18015xs+ operates using dual redundant 150W power supplies at 100-240 VAC and 50/60 Hz (single phase). It includes an accessory pack and 2 x AC power cords. This unit is protected by a limited 5-year warranty. - High-Availability Cluster Design
- By combining two computing servers and multiple storage units into a single high-availability cluster, the RC18015xs+ and RXD1215sas deliver high reliability and data availability.
