• The RS815RP+ is powered by a quad-core CPU running at 2.4 GHz. Combined with 2GB of DDR3 RAM (expandable to 6GB), it delivers average 389.03 MB/s read speeds and 361.33 MB/s write speeds. With this baseline performance and 2GB DDR3 RAM that is expandable to 6GB, the RS815RP+ is a powerful 1RU NAS server for mission-critical tasks of SMB

USB 3.0 and eSATA
• The RS815RP+ helps optimizes your working experiences by enabling faster and more efficient data transfers. To help ensure scalability, the RS815RP+ provides an eSATA and two USB 3.0 interfaces in the back to speed up data transfers with Synology expansion units and external hard drives

Encrypted Data Transmission with AES-NI
• The ${Model} features a hardware encryption engine, which offloads encryption calculation tasks away from the main CPU. Files can be edited in offline mode and later synced to Cloud Station, which keeps up to 32 historical versions, allowing you to restore a file back to previous version or recover deleted files. With the mobile app DS cloud, any change made to a file is automatically synced to your smartphones and tablets. Security Advisor analyzes system settings, password strength, network preferences, and removes any possible malware. AppArmor blocks malicious programs from accessing unauthorized system resources. Advanced filters help make it easy to search for documents, photos, or videos. With built-in FTP or email clients, the RS815RP+ lets you organize and share files through a web application. You can even share files and folders with others by simply sending a link. Files can also be reached on mobile devices via the companion mobile app DS file. HTTPS, SSL/TSL encryption, and link expiry dates also help ensure that file sharing over the Internet is secure
