Product description The RX1216sas 12-Bay Storage Expansion Enclosure from Synology is designed to provide storage capacity expansion for the Synology RackStation RS18016xs+. It provides twelve drive bays, each of which is able to natively support 3.5" and 2.5" SATA III 6 Gb/s and SATA II 3 Gb/s hard drives and SSDs, 3.5" and 2.5" SAS hard drives, and 2.5" SAS SSDs. The drives are hot swappable and there is also RAID management through the Synology Disk Station Manager that supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, Basic, & JBOD. The RX1216sas is equipped with 2 x Mini-SAS inputs, 2 x Mini-SAS outputs, and dual redundant 500W power supplies. It operates using 100-240 VAC at 50/60 Hz (single phase) and consumes 67.31W upon drive access.
The RX1216sas 12-Bay Storage Expansion Enclosure includes an accessory pack, two AC power cords, and two Mini-SAS expansion cables. It is protected by a limited 5-year warranty. - Plug-n-use design for seamless storage space upgrade
