Product description The Synology RX2417sas SAS/SATA Expansion Chassis provides twenty-four additional drive bays for your RackStation RS18017xs+ NAS enclosure, letting the host system hold more 2.5" SSDs or HDDs. Each of the bays has a hot-swappable drive tray for quick installation of a user-supplied drive and supports storage drives that feature a SAS or SATA interface. To run your drives reliably, two 500W power supplies and four 60mm fans are on board.
The RX2417sas comes with a SAS input port that connects to a host system's optional FS3017 expansion card; and a SAS output on the RX2417sas is available for accessing a second optional expansion chassis. This two-port design enables you to expand the RackStation RS18017xs+ NAS enclosure's storage capacity with up to seven RX2417sas chassis. Furthermore, Synology includes a miniSAS expansion cable for connecting the RX2417sas to a RS18017xs+. - 24-Bay 2.5" SAS/SATA Expansion
