Product description The 6.5 x 14" Soundworks DMP1465 Maple Snare Drum from TAMA features a 6-ply, 5mm thin maple shell, 10-hole/2.3mm Sound Arc hoops, and comes with Evans heads. Maple wood produces a classic warm and open tone with full-bodied resonance and wide tuning range, making this snare drum responsive to subtle articulations, and ideal for drummers playing in a variety of musical styles. The DMP1465 is equipped with inward-curved steel Sound Arc hoops designed to enhance the natural tone of the snare drum while offering sensitivity, precise tuning, and control. Subtle tuning adjustment are also made easy with the silk-smooth tension rods which let you dial in just the right amount of tension for the perfect tone. The Soundworks DMP1465 comes with a matte vintage maple finish which enhances the tone of the wood. - 6-ply/5mm thin shell made of 100% maple wood produces a beautifully resonant, warm, and open tone, with a wide tuning range
