Product description This pair of 4" Full-Range Directional Ceiling Loudspeakers from Tannoy includes two full-bandwidth, high-power handling, and high-sensitivity loudspeakers built around Tannoy's CMS 3.0 Ceiling Monitor System technology. Based on a Dual Concentric point-source driver, the speaker delivers wide and consistent broadband directivity, intelligibility, and an accurate and linear response.
The Dual Concentric driver design features Omnimagnet technology and the Torus Ogive Waveguide device, together providing consistent and controlled directivity along with improved high-frequency response. Time alignment and coherence between low and high frequencies enhances performance both on- and off-axis. The baffle provides a subtle extension to the wave-guide effect for additional sonic benefits.
The loudspeaker can be entirely angled towards the listener within the fixed ceiling-mounting ring by pivoting it towards the desired area of coverage. It utilizes a 16-Ohm driver, making it ideal for use in high-performance, low-impedance systems. A low insertion-loss 30W transformer is included, with convenient front switching for taps at 30W, 15W, and 7.5W, with an additional 3.75W tap for traditional constant voltage systems.
Each speaker is supplied with an integral back can, ready to install as a single unit. The removable locking connector has screw terminals for secure wire termination and loop-thru facility. Strain relief is provided by a clamping mechanism for use with a plenum-rated cable or conduit, while the spring-loaded and self-aligning clamps make for quick and easy installation. Each loudspeaker is supplied with a grille, two tile support rails, and a C-ring. - Dual Concentric driver design utilizing Omnimagnet technology
