Product description Link past, present, and future technologies to your Windows or Mac system at speeds up to 20 Gb/s with just one Thunderbolt cable using the Thunderbolt 2 Universal Docking Station from Targus. This docking station has two built-in Thunderbolt 2 ports and allows you to access data on both legacy and future devices by providing seven host ports for USB 3.0 at speeds up to 5 Gb/s, as well as one USB 3.0 charging port. These USB ports may be used to connect peripherals such as external storage, optical drives, printers, memory card readers, and more. Additionally, while one of the Thunderbolt 2 ports is used to connect this dock to your system, the remaining free port supports the daisy chaining of up to six total Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt devices.
The dock also supports single and dual display configurations through its dual DisplayPort outputs, with the option of using a single 4K UHD display at resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 30 fps, or dual 2K displays. Wired network connectivity is provided using the Gigabit Ethernet port and 3.5mm audio output and microphone input jacks allow users to connect devices such as speakers, headphones, and microphones to this dock.
