Product description The CD-500B Single-Rackspace CD Player from Tascam provides high-quality audio playback in a slim 1RU design. The player plays standard audio CDs, as well as CD-ROM discs encoded with MP3 or WAV files. The CD-500B offers a number of playback options, including single, random, A/B, program play, incremental play, power-on play, and more. An onboard LCD display shows important info, while a 10-key pad provides instant access to tracks.
The player offers stereo analog XLR and RCA outputs, as well as optical and coaxial S/PDIF digital outputs and an XLR AES/EBU digital output, allowing you to connect to a variety of sound systems. The CD-500B is designed with versatile control options in mind. A wireless remote is included, and connectors are provided for RS-232C, parallel, and footswitch control. Additional features such as fading, EOM, and more are included to provide ultimate versatility in a compact design. - Slim and lightweight 1RU chassis fits into any standard equipment rack
- Slot-loading mechanism takes up less space and is less prone to breakage than tray-loading drives
- Supports audio CDs, plus CD-ROM discs with WAV files up to 16-bit/48kHz and MP3 files up to 320kbps VBR
- Playback options include all, single, random, A/B, 99-track program, incremental play, call function, power-on play, and skip back play, plus a 16% pitch control
- Analog stereo XLR and RCA outputs are provided, which also offer mono output capability
- Optical and coaxial S/PDIF digital outputs and an XLR AES/EBU output let you connect to digital equipment
- The front-panel LCD display shows track elapsed/remain time, as well as remaining disc time and other vital info
- The 10-key pad provides instant access to CD tracks
- Frame-accurate searching, plus index search and directory search let you find the exact audio moment you need
- Fade in/out is provided with 0-10 second fade time in 0.5 second steps. Fader start and event start are also offered
- Resume and EOM functions built-in
- 3.5mm relay connectors let you perform relay playback with multiple units
- A wireless remote is included, which can be enabled or disabled
