The high magnification brings distant objects up-close to make detailed observations, while its wide apparent angle of view helps to offset the appearance of visible hand-shake often associated with high-power optics. Multi-coated optics help maximize the objective lens' light-gathering ability and limits the glare typically found when glassing on or near the water.The binocular is wrapped in a textured rubber armor that protects it from impacts and drops, but provides a slip-resistant grip in cold or wet conditions. To withstand rain or water spray, the optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes. This version of the Off-Shore features a dual-hinge bridge design that allows the optical tubes to fold and tuck under the bridge for a compact form factor that, when coupled with the light 10-ounce weight, ensures an easy fit in most packs or pockets without adding inconvenient bulk. - Optical Performance
