Product description What's old is new again with the TC Electronic Alter Ego V2 Vintage Echo Pedal. Made in collaboration with ProGuitarShop, the Alter Ego V2 contains samples of 9 highly sought after vintage echo devices in a modern, compact stompbox format. The front panel controls allow you to select the delay type you want, while the Time and Feedback knobs control the length and number of repeats, respectively. The Level knob sets the overall output level of the pedal. Instead of a traditional tap-tempo, the Alter Ego V2 incorporates "audio tapping" which lets you strum quarter-note patterns on your guitar to set the delay time (output is muted while audio tapping is in progress). For some interesting delay "tricks," the subdivision toggle lets you select quarter notes, dotted-eighth notes, or both simultaneously for some really "out-there" trails. The Alter Ego pedal can operate in either mono or stereo with its dual in/out jacks. By default, the footswitch is set to give you true bypass for no additional tone coloration, however, a buffer can be turned on if you have to drive long cables going to your amp. - TonePrint Connectivity
- Save your own custom sounds to the Alter Ego with TonePrint. Using the free app available for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android operating systems, you can have granular control over the inner workings of the pedal. When you're done adjusting inside the TonePrint Editor, connect your pedal via USB or just beam the settings from your phone to the pedal, where they will be saved in the "TP" setting. Other custom sounds are available from artists and other TonePrint users online, so you can take advantage of the flexibility available inside the Alter Ego in no time.
