Product description The Hall of Fame 2 Reverb from TC Electronic is pedal intended for use with electric guitars. It provides eight reverberations in one stompbox enclosure; with this pedal, you can emulate the ambiance of halls, rooms, churches, spring-tanks, plates, and more. In fact, compatibility with the TonePrint editor allows you to create your own reverbs and store them in the pedal. The Flashback 2 offers stereo I/O for multiple amp setups, or for use with instruments boasting stereo outputs. You’ll find controls for decay level, level, pre-delay time, and tone. A Buffered-bypass option and kill-dry mode are accessible through internal DIP switches. In addition to its default true-bypass and its tap-tempo function, the footswitch sports an expression technology TC Electronic has labelled MASH. MASH obviates the need for an external pedal, letting you manipulate various assignable parameters by simply applying more pressure to the footswitch. This pedal can run off of 9V batteries or by means of a power adapter, available separately. - More about MASH
- MASH reacts to the amount of pressure you put on the switch. The harder you press, the more intense the effect. For each reverb type, MASH will control a different parameter and let you exert expression control without necessitating an extra pedal or requiring you to bend over in the pursuit of twisting knobs. For example, you can assign MASH to instantiate reverb swells, increase the amount of reverb, and more.
- Controls and Indicators at a Glance
- DECAY Knob: Use this knob to adjust the length of the reverb. Maximum reverb length depends on the type of reverb selection.PRE-DELAY Switch: Pre-delay is the time between the direct sound and the reverb’s onset. Selecting a longer Pre-delay can aid in maintaining tonal presence and clarity in the midst of a heavy downpour of verb.Tone Knob: Use the Tone knob to adjust the high-frequency content of the reverb.MASH LED: This will light up when the MASH function is engaged by pressing down firmly on the footswitch. The LED gets brighter as the footswitch receives more pressure, indicating a more intense triggering of the parameter that is assigned to this function.LEVEL Knob: This knob adjusts the volume level of the reverberated signal. The direct, unprocessed signal is always passed through at the original (unity) level. The Level knob only controls how prominently the reverb is mixed with the dry signal.Reverb Type Selector: Select the type of reverb or TonePrint with this knob.
- Reverb Types Offered
- Room: This simulates a relatively small, well-furnished room.Hall: This is a broad but slightly diffuse reverb, providing an ambiance both spacious and natural in timbre.Spring: This is based on the sound of reverbs typically found within vintage guitar amplifiers.Plate: This simulates the diffuse, bright sound of a metallic plate.Church: Like the hall setting but less clean, this is a highly-diffuse and spacious reverb which emulates the sound of hard surfaces.Shimmer: The shimmer setting pitch shifts the reverb up an octave through each feedback loop, creating an experimental and haunting effect. It pairs quite well with the MASH function.Modulated Reverb: This effect processes a digital reverb through modulation effects to increase the inherent warmth of the signal.Lo-Fi: Smooth, studio-quality, luscious—this setting is the complete opposite of all those things.TonePrint: Select one of the 3 TonePrint settings to access a default setting or a custom TonePrint preset.
