Product description The TC Electronic IRON CURTAIN is a noise gate pedal. Designed for electric guitars, the pedal ensures that you only hear the notes you play—not the 60-cycle hum from your pickups, not any RFI from your cables, and not the noisy circuits of a badly-wired venue. The pedal utilizes an all-analog design to achieve this goal.
Two knobs are offered to you. The first is a Threshold control, which dictates the level at which the gate will open and allows your sound to come through. The Decay knob adjusts how quickly the gate will close, banishing all unwanted noise to the inaudible side of the gate. A bypass switch engages and disengages the effect, while a toggle switch allows you to choose between muting your signal completely or merely reducing the unwanted noise.
The IRON CURTAIN can be powered with a 9V battery or a PSU-SB DC power supply, both of which are available separately. The pedal utilizes a true bypass footswitch, so your signal remains pristine and unaffected when it's disengaged. The IRON CURTAIN also has a rugged metal frame, so it can stand up to the rigors of the road.
