Product description The black AI-301DA-B Pre-Main Amplifier with Bluetooth, USB, and Digital-to-Analog Converter from Teac is capable of DSD native playback by converting 5.6 MHz DSD files received via its USB input directly into analog signals, without the need for converting them to PCM first. It supports both the ASIO2.1 and DoP (DSD over PCM) conversion methods. When receiving digital audio signals from a computer via USB cable, the unit can operate in asynchronous mode, controlling the timing of the input signal using an internal clock. With asynchronous transmission over USB, signal compromising jitter is effectively eliminated. Besides its USB audio input, the amplifier also comes with S/PDIF inputs for versatile compatibility. The amplifier features the aptX codec, which offers wireless playback capability via Bluetooth hardware. This codec offers low latency and error recovery. The AI-301DA can remember up to eight Bluetooth device pairings. The device also features one coaxial and two RCA stereo line inputs along with a headphone jack (standard stereo) and a subwoofer output (RCA). The system features an 8.5" wide casework, which allows greater freedom in positioning the amplifier. The solid metal chassis minimizes the effects vibration has on sound quality. Capable of 5.6 MHz DSD Native Playback -
- USB input port allows DSD native playback, which converts 5.6 MHz DSD files directly into analog signals without the requirement of first converting it to PCM
- Supports both the ASIO2.1 and DoP (DSD over PCM) conversion methods
- Using the AI-301DA in conjunction with the Teac HR Audio Player high-resolution playback software (available for free download on the Teac website), you can explore the world of high-resolution digital audio, including 5.6 MHz DSD or 32-bit/192 kHz PCM files, without struggling to have to understand complex settings
Asynchronous-Mode-Capable USB Input -
- When receiving digital audio signals from a computer via USB cable, the unit can operate in asynchronous mode, controlling the timing of the input signal using the UD-301's internal clock
- With asynchronous transmission over USB, signal compromising jitter is effectively eliminated, allowing digital audio signals to be transmitted in a pure, unadulterated state
Coaxial and Optical Digital Inputs Offer Versatility -
- Besides its USB audio input, the AI-301DA comes with S/PDIF inputs for versatile compatibility
- The coaxial digital input supports up to 24-bit/192 kHz while the optical digital input supports up to 24-bit/96 kHz digital audio
Wireless Playback at High Sound Quality via Bluetooth Using the aptX Codec -
- Supports the aptX codec, which offers wireless playback capability via Bluetooth hardware
- The codec also offers low latency and an error recovery function, both crucial features for achieving high-quality audio performance
- Memory capacity for up to a maximum of eight Bluetooth device pairings
Burr-Brown PCM1795 DAC -
- Burr-Brown PCM 1795 D/A converts 5.6 MHz DSD or 32-bit/192 kHz PCM digital data into analog form
- The analog signal, which is derived from huge digital audio data files, delivers a finely etched sound
ICEpower Class-D Amplifier Circuit -
- Based on the class-D amplifier manufactured by ICEpower
- Converts a high-resolution sound source into high-definition speaker signals using a feedback loop between a hybrid feedback controlled oscillating modulator (HCOM), which faithfully amplifies the signal, and a multivariable enhanced cascade control (MECC)
- 60W + 60W (4Ω) amplifier creates very little heat, eliminating any need for a cooling fan, thus affording a quiet environment that's optimal for music appreciation
CCLC Circuits with Headphone Amplifier -
- 100mW + 100mW output (at 32Ω load) headphone amplifier uses CCLC (Coupling Capacitor Less Circuit) technology
- Eliminates the negative impact of capacitors on sound quality, providing full low-frequency sound and a responsive headphone listening environment
Well-Engineered Aluminum Enclosure, Compact Proportions -
- Features 8.5" wide casework which allows greater freedom in positioning the amplifier
- External highlights include aluminum panels and a motor-driven volume knob with smooth tactile feel
- The solid enclosure, underpinned by the metal chassis, is impressively inert, minimizing the effects of vibration on the unit's sound quality
Simple Operation with Auto Power On -
- Auto Power On function automatically switches on the unit's power when it senses a digital signal input
- When the amplifier is connected to optical digital audio output from a television set, just switching on the television turns on the power of the AI-301DA, enabling instant output of high-quality sound without having to adjust any other settings
Combine with the Separately Available LS-301 Speakers to Create a Simple High-Resolution System -
- The AI301-DA Amplifier can be combined with LS-301 coaxial speaker (available separately), which is specifically developed to match it to create a high-resolution sound system
- AI301-DA also features a subwoofer pre-out plug so that the equally compact 2.1-channel LS-WH01 satellite/subwoofer system (available separately) can be used along with the amplifier
Other Features -
- Screw-type speaker terminals (banana plugs, 8 AWG gauge cable compatible)
- Three-pin IEC AC socket for power
- Customized remote control included
- Auto Power Save function
