Product description The silver Teac HA-P5-S is a portable high-resolution USB DAC/headphone amplifier designed to provide premium audio reproduction and convenient mobility for audiophiles and music connoisseurs in planes, trains, automobiles, offices, and more. It supports DSD sample rates up to 5.6 MHz, PCM resolutions up to 24-bit/192 kHz, and iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows systems.A Burr-Brown PCM1795 D/A converter and dual high-precision master clocks enable a wide, accurate frequency response of 10 Hz to 100 kHz. The low-distortion Burr-Brown op-amps feed the 3.5mm TRRS headphone jack, which is compliant with ground-separate, 4-pole headphones and standard 3-pole models. The HAP-P5-S can accept signal via its 3.5mm, USB Type-A, or USB Micro-B inputs, and offers side-mounted switches for high or low gain, input selection, and USB charging. It is powered via an internal rechargeable Li-ion battery. - Aluminum body provides low mass, durability, and shielding against noise
- LED indicators for sample rate and battery and charging status
- From the headphone amplifier section to the 4-pole headphone jack, each ground of the left and right channel is completely separated from the other
- Class-AB design includes a push-pull circuit and Burr-Brown OPA1602 and OPA1652 SoundPlus op-amps for low distortion
- Circuit layout separates digital and analog sections to eliminate distortions produced by interference noise
- Two high-precision crystal master clocks for 44.1 kHz (22.5792 MHz) and 48 kHz (24.576 MHz) systems, allow precise synchronization with the sampling frequency of the incoming digital audio signal
- Asynchronous transfer mode reduces jitter by overriding less-accurate clock signal sent from a computer or smartphone
- Fixed-level 3.5mm TRS output for connection to an external amplifier
- Variable-level 3.5mm TRRS output supports ground-separate or standard headphones
