Product description The IRF-2650 Forum 232 Wireless Microphone System from TeachLogic is a sound-field system for classroom presentation. This system consists of an IMA-232 Amplifier/Receiver Base Station, IRT-60 Sapphire Microphone Transmitters with Lithium-ion Batteries, IRH-35 Handheld Infrared Transmitter/Microphone with NiMH Batteries, an ICS-55 Ceiling Sensor for IR connectivity throughout the room, and four CS-4 Ceiling Speakers. It also includes a BRC-55 Drop-In Charger for charging the Sapphire transmitters. The IRF-2650 features a Digital Feedback Guard (DFG) that eliminates acoustical feedback. The wireless Sapphire microphone has a capsule which allows maximum gain before feedback. It has a 50W Digital Hybrid Class D amplifier. The system allows remote adjustment of inputs via the RS-232 wall panel controller. The unit has two infrared wireless microphones which can be used simultaneously. It provides two auxiliary line inputs for multi-media integration with even distribution of sound for the audio in the classroom. The Forum 232 has a Line level output for lesson capture and another output for Assistive Listening System (ALS). The Forum 232 is an infrared wireless microphone sound system. It is the nucleus of the classroom sound field system which provides optimum voice reinforcement. The wireless function permits 360° connectivity throughout the classroom regardless of body position or orientation. The system is comprised of an infrared detecting sensor installed in the ceiling. The sensor collects the IR wireless signal from the microphone/transmitter and sends a composite signal to the mixer/amplifier via the included 50' plenum-rated cable. The receiver transforms the composite signal into an analog audio signal which is fed to the amplifier mixer. Two other audio sources, such as computer, DVD, VCR, or projector can be plugged in to the Forum 232. The volume level of each input will be controlled by the individual volume control of each input. The audio will then be fed to the speakers in the room for even voice reinforcement throughout the room. On the front panel of the Forum 232, there are two 3.5mm output jacks for interface with an assistive listening system (ALS) and lesson capture (REC). The rechargeable batteries offer 6 to 8 hours of usage per charge. The drop-in charger will recharge the batteries overnight, ready for another day’s use. - Forum 232 2-Channel Infrared Receiver/Amplifier Base Station with Switching Power Supply The Forum 232 2-Channel Infrared Receiver/Amplifier Base Station with Switching Power Supply from TeachLogic is the nucleus of the Forum 232 Wireless Classroom Microphone System. This receiver is designed for use with the Sapphire or handheld microphone transmitters (all sold separately). These transmitters transmit the vocal signal via infrared light to the dome sensor (sold separately) installed on the ceiling. The signal is then sent via cable to the receiver input of the mixer/amplifier. The signal is detected and then processed through the power amplifier to the speakers.
The unit features RS-232 wall panel control of the line inputs, remote teacher security alert, teacher priority with instant attenuation of the line levels via Sapphire IRT-60 pendant mic (available separately), DFG (Digital Feedback Guard), and switchable anti-hum circuit on the computer input. - Dual infrared wireless microphone receivers

- Infrared Dome Sensor TeachLogic's Infrared Dome Sensor needs to be installed on the ceiling at least 3' from the video projector. It comes with a mounting/support bracket and 50' of plenum rated cable with RCA connector on each end. The ideal location for the dome sensor would be in the center of the ceiling. This will provide a clear signal path for the IR transmission from the transmitter to the dome sensor without obstruction. In addition, you will have 360° coverage and will minimize the transmission distance for more reliable performance. It collects the infrared transmission signal via 6 large detecting diodes. The sensor is connected to the mixer/amplifier via a plenum rated cable terminated with RCA connectors. The mixer/amplifier supplies the power to the sensor.
- Easily installs on ceiling "T" bar with track bracket
- 6 large receiving diodes for infrared reception
- Handheld Infrared Transmitter/Microphone with NiMH Batteries (Channel A and B) TeachLogic's Handheld Infrared Transmitter/Microphone with NiMH Batteries (Channel A and B) has an ergonomic design that provides user comfort and very low handling noise. The unidirectional condenser reproduces excellent vocal quality and the windscreen prevents breath pops. The emitting diodes are located around the top and bottom end of the handle for 360° transmission and assured connectivity throughout the classroom. Two rechargeable NiMH batteries are included.
- Condenser microphone element
- Battery level indicator-LED
- 10 high-power emitting diodes
- Diodes at top and bottom of handle for increased coverage (2 top aimed out, 6 bottom 360°, 2 bottom aimed down)
- 360º IR radiation for assured connectivity
- IRT-60 Sapphire Infrared Transmitter/Microphone w/ Security Alert & Rechargeable Battery Well suited for classrooms and forums, the rechargeable IRT-60 Sapphire Infrared Transmitter/Microphone from TeachLogic offers the same aesthetic design and feature set as the IRT-55 Sapphire, but with an additional remote "Security Alert", allowing teacher priority with instant attenuation of the line levels to work with the optional Forum 232 and Maxim III amplifiers. The Sapphire can be worn with a lanyard or clipped directly to your neckline collar and offers a high level output, reliable connectivity, and great definition. With a built-in breath filter, the Sapphire can function as a pass-around hand microphone. Tapping the power button momentarily mutes the microphone, allowing for private conversations. The 3.5mm auxiliary input allows wireless playback of your iPod, while a three-position slide switch provides selections of low, medium, or high microphone volume levels. The included Lithium-Ion battery offers up to 9 hours use. The Sapphire IRT-60 ships with a BRC-15 wall charger and a breakaway lanyard.
