Product description The IRS-8655 Spectrum III Wireless Classroom Microphone System from TeachLogic is a digital hybrid sound-field system for use in the classroom. This system comprises the IMA-820 Spectrum III Amplifier/Receiver Base Station, IRT-60 Sapphire Microphone/Transmitter with lithium-ion battery for voice transmission, ICS-55 Ceiling Sensor for IR connectivity throughout the room, and four SP-628L Lay-In Ceiling Speakers. It also includes a BRC-55 Drop-In Battery Charger for charging the Sapphire microphone/transmitter. The system can be added to an existing multi-media system for expanding its utilization to provide voice reinforcement. The Spectrum III Amplifier/Receiver Base Station features dual IR receivers, four 100W Class D amplifiers, digital equalization, and digital limiting, providing freedom of movement and allowing simultaneous use of two microphones (one Sapphire microphone/transmitter included). When combined with the Sapphire transmitter, the Spectrum III base station delivers several key features such as Security Alert circuit, Teacher Voice Priority, and Remote volume control for line inputs. The four auxiliary inputs provide multi-media integration with even distribution of sound for all audio in the classroom. The ICS-55 Dome Sensor collects the IR wireless signal from the microphone/transmitter via 6 large detecting diodes and sends a composite signal to the receiver the IMA-820 Spectrum III Amplifier/Receiver Base Station via the included 50' plenum-rated cable. The ideal location for the sensor would be in the center of the ceiling, providing a clear signal path for the IR transmission from the transmitter without obstruction. The receiver transforms this composite signal into an analog audio signal which is fed to the multimedia amplifier. The amplifier powers the four SP-628L Lay-In Ceiling Speakers (included) for even voice reinforcement throughout the room. Each of the SP-628L Full-Range Compact Coaxial Lay-In Ceiling Speaker provides low distortion and smooth natural frequency response. Each speaker comes as a complete assembly with a 12" frame, perforated steel grille, integrated steel backcan, and attached T bar for finished edges. It offers quick installation with minimal tile cutting. - IMA-820 Spectrum III 4-Channel Receiver / Amplifier Base Station with Switching Power Supply The IMA-820 Spectrum III 4-Channel Receiver / Amplifier Base Station with Switching Power Supply from TeachLogic features four auxiliary inputs, dual IR receivers, page pass-through, and a 100W amplifier. This receiver has 100W of power for large rooms or rooms with high ambient sound levels. It helps create a good intelligible learning environment over a large area with up to 8 ceiling or wall speakers (available separately).
The four auxiliary inputs provide multimedia integration with even distribution of sound for all audio in the classroom. The unit also features RS-232 wall panel control of the line inputs, fire alarm connection (AC or DC), remote teacher security alert, teacher priority with instant attenuation of the line levels via Sapphire IRT-60 pendant mic (available separately), DFG (Digital Feedback Guard), and switchable anti-hum circuit on the computer input. - Sound-field system for large rooms

- Infrared Dome Sensor TeachLogic's Infrared Dome Sensor needs to be installed on the ceiling at least 3' from the video projector. It comes with a mounting/support bracket and 50' of plenum rated cable with RCA connector on each end. The ideal location for the dome sensor would be in the center of the ceiling. This will provide a clear signal path for the IR transmission from the transmitter to the dome sensor without obstruction. In addition, you will have 360° coverage and will minimize the transmission distance for more reliable performance. It collects the infrared transmission signal via 6 large detecting diodes. The sensor is connected to the mixer/amplifier via a plenum rated cable terminated with RCA connectors. The mixer/amplifier supplies the power to the sensor.
- Easily installs on ceiling "T" bar with track bracket
- 6 large receiving diodes for infrared reception
