Product description Shrink your bass rig but not your tone with the Tech 21 Bass Fly Rig. Small enough to fit inside an instrument case or large gig bag, the Bass Fly Rig was designed with air travel and backline gigs in mind. However, it can easily become your main rig, as it features high-quality effects and the amplifier emulation that Tech 21 is known for. You can use the Bass Fly Rig in front of an amp or directly into a PA using either the low-impedance 1/4" or XLR outputs. Both outputs can drive long cables without high-frequency loss. The input can accept passive and active pickups with a switchable input pad to maintain a clean signal. Each effect has its own footswitch, so no programming or advanced patch navigation is needed. Just set it up and you're ready to go. The Bass Fly Rig also has an integrated tuner which silences the output. Effects Sections - SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulator
- What would this unit be without SansAmp emulation? The character control can take the sound from vintage to modern, while interacting with the overdrive control to create different distorted tones based on the desired character. More control is provided by an active 3-band EQ and a bite switch.
- "OCTAFILTER" Octave + Fuzz
- The OCTAFILTER built into this Fly Rig has an entire palette of expression unto itself. The controls interact so that you can get dynamically filtered clean, fuzz, and octave, as well as octave and fuzz together. For example, when the Q control is set to the minimum, the Range control becomes a high-cut tone filter for different versions of clean, fuzz, octave, and octave and fuzz together. You can then blend any of these combinations with your direct signal via the Mix control, evoking fuzzy tones to funky Minimoog-style synth sounds.
- "CHR" Bass Chorus
- Derived from the Tech 21 Bass Boost Chorus pedal, stomping on this footswitch creates choral voicings with a slight delay between, adding thickness and space. A chromatic tuner is integrated within the CHR section. Simply hold down the CHR footswitch to engage the Tuner, which simultaneously mutes the signal path.
- "COMP" FET Compressor
- This classic FET compression is warm, transparent, and musical. When engaged, this old-school style compressor evens out your playing dynamics for a smooth and consistent sound.
- "BOOST" Pre/Post Boost
- Switchable Pre/Post Boost. Pre-Boost mode interacts with the SansAmp section to beef up drive and distortion. Post-Boost mode increases the overall volume to punch up fills and solos.
