Product description The MIDI Mongoose from Tech 21 is a MIDI controller for stage gear, studio pieces, DJ equipment, and compatible lighting modules. Expanding on the capabilities of its progenitor, the MIDI Moose, the Mongoose offers two different, independent inputs for continuous controllers, promoting the integration of your existing MIDI devices. It does this in a smaller form factor too, taking up just 11.5 x 2.5 x 1.3" of floor space.
Through access to a Special page function, you can assign MIDI channels for specific program changes. Then, with five footswitches at your disposal, you can change or cycle through groupings of five or ten preset programs at a time, thereby expeditiously controlling which parameters, groups of effects, or MIDI devices are active at any one time.
The MIDI Mongoose can be powered with a standard 9V battery for 200 hours of use, though it also accepts phantom power via its seven-pin jack, and can be used with the Tech 21 DC4 power supply (available separately). It utilizes hardy smooth-action actuators to click between preset programs, and features an all-metal housing and a non-glare LED display.
