Product description Developed in close collaboration with Rammstein's Paul Landers, the Tech 21 Paul Landers PL1 Signature Fly Rig is not just a rehash of the original Tech 21 Fly Rig 5 with a black metal theme. Instead, the PL1 provides features that Paul Landers himself uses on the stage, in the studio, and in rehearsals for getting his signature tone.At the core of this Fly Rig are two SansAmp channels for switching between clean and dirty tones. The clean Wasser section boasts dual-band active EQ controls, a compressor, and a level control. You'll also note the Bite switch, which adds a presence boost to the top end to give you more definition. The Feuer distortion section has a 3-band tone stack with a switchable midrange frequency, as well as a Drive knob and a level control. A DLA section provides several effects, such as delay voiced to replicate the sound of a vintage tape echo with time and repeat controls as well as a tap tempo footswitch. You'll find vibrato controls that alter the functions of Time and Level, and an Ambience control that provides anything from a close miked feel to full-on room ambiance.Finally, you'll note the dual-mode Boost section, which is situated after the SansAmp stage. It can give you a boost of up to +6 dB or an attenuation of down to -10 dB. Aside from being quick to set up and tear down at the end of the night, the PL1 offers tactile controls that make tweaking your tones a simple process. No need to navigate banks and menus, just twist the knobs on the front panel.The pedal can be used in front of a guitar amplifier, or it can route signal directly into a PA system for a minimalist setup. Whether you have your own amp or a backline provided for you at the gig, the Fly Rig will be able to deliver the metallic goods. Indeed, with the PL1, du hast a powerful tone. |
