Teachers, tour guides, and others who need mobile amplification can use it to make sure their voices are heard more clearly. You can play music through the unit in all sorts of places, as it is a mobile, battery-powered speaker.
The WASP200U sports a 3" woofer, as well as volume and playback controls. Its LED display shows playback time and battery life. The unit's built-in battery can be charged by means of the included micro-USB cable and AC wall adapter. If you're stuck without built-in battery power, you can opt to use 4 AA batteries to power the device. It'll play music for up to five hours, and it can handle live-microphone playback for up to seven hours.
The speaker sports inputs for micro-USB, a TF card, a 3.5mm auxiliary jack, and 3.5mm microphone jack. The WASP200U has a built-in UHF receiver with a retractable antenna, and this is how the speaker works with the included headset. A frequency response of 80 Hz to approximately 12 kHz allows for vocal clarity.
Built-in recording is possible with the integrated microphone—or with a wired mic—by means of a USB port or TF card slot. The unit records in WAV formats.
