Product description The Technics OTTAVA f SC-C70 All-In-One Music System is designed to meet the needs of any audiophile. Three jitter elimination and noise-shaping optimization (JENO) engines, combined with five speakers, deliver powerful hi-fi sound. Acoustic lenses placed in front of the two tweeters provides an expanded sound field. Additionally, the Space Tune preset setting calibrates and optimizes the sound by analyzing the room's acoustic environment. Furthermore, this system features wide compatibility with music sources. The OTTAVA f system supports CD, AM/FM radio, USB, digital optical, analog 3.5mm, DLNA, AirPlay, Internet radio, Spotify, TIDAL, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. You can even listen to your favorite tunes privately through the headphone jack. Controlling this system is made easy with the aluminum touch keys and the included remote control, or you can access your music and system controls using the Technics Music app on your iOS or Android device. - JENO Engine
- The SC-C70 is equipped with a trio of JENO audio-processing engines to deliver high-resolution audio without loss. These are used for the subwoofer, mid-range, and tweeter channel management, as well as time alignment.
- Space Tune
- Space Tune is a preset EQ setting to optimize sound performance based on the position of the unit in your room. Users with an iOS device and the Technics mobile app can calibrate the system further using the microphone in your iOS device.
- Load Adaptive Phase Calibration
- LAPC measures the amp's frequency amplitude phase characteristics with speakers connected to the unit and performs digital signal processing to achieve the ideal impulse response.
- Speaker System
- The speaker system consists of three types of speaker units. The high-res dome tweeters feature silk diaphragms that boast a high damping factor and smooth sound characteristics. The mid-range speaker units maintain an appropriate peak level and achieve seamless crossover. The woofers are provided with a large edge made of high-strength nitrile rubber (NBR) to provide amplitude linearity, as well as fiber dampers to support the large-motion voice coil bobbins. Coupled with the dual bass-reflex ports, these three types of speaker units reproduce sound over a wide frequency band in a range of 40 Hz to 50 kHz.
- Acoustic Lens
- This system is equipped with custom acoustic lenses featuring a reverse dome-shape fin structure. The back sides of the fins are shaped to match the form of the soft-dome diaphragms of the tweeters and positioned closely to the speaker to provide long sound paths. This realizes a wide directionality, expanded sound field, and detailed high-frequency sound reproduction capability over the frequency range of 11 kHz to the high-res range. The fins are continuously connected to the acoustic louver on the front side to minimize disturbance to the high-fidelity characteristics.
- Design
- This system features an aluminum top panel that provides a glossy appearance, but also enhances the cabinet rigidity. The aluminum touch keys are built into the panel and adds to this system's sleek and modern look. The louver front grille protects the speaker unit and adds a dark contrast to this unit's aesthetic. Furthermore, the OTTAVA f's top loaded-CD player features a dark translucent panel to view the disc placed inside.
- Twin Power Supply Circuit System
- The OTTAVA f's power supply system includes independently installed switch mode power supply circuitry for the amp and the other circuits, which eliminates mutual interference, thereby reducing degradation of sound quality caused by noise or power supply fluctuations.
- Optimally Activated Circuit System
- The optimally activated circuit system shuts down unneeded circuits and the display to minimize the noise generated during playback.
- Re-Master
- The high-precision signal processing circuitry of the JENO engine is utilized to expand the frequency band of Bluetooth and Internet radio sources, in which high-frequency signals are commonly lost due to signal compression, to a range equivalent to that of a CD source. This eliminates the lack of expansiveness in high-frequency sound and the loss of sound details for enhanced sound quality.
- DLNA
- You can stream music from an iOS device, Android device, Mac, or Windows PC by using the AirPlay or DLNA feature. To use these features, this system must join the same network as the AirPlay- or DLNA-compatible device.

I have had this system for several years
Recently a fault has developed.
When switched on the display does not illuminate
The radio plays but obviously I cannot alter the settings
I have changed the batteries but no change
When I press set up there is no response
Any suggestions please
