Product description The 2.0x Big Barlow 2" from Tele Vue uses multi-coated high index glasses for optimum aberration correction. This provides exceptional contrast with virtually no light loss with an aberration free viewing experience. Properly designed barlows amplify power, slow the telescope's f-stop (improving eyepiece sharpness), and compensate for eyepiece aberrations. Tele Vue barlows must pass Tele Vue's rigorous f/4 field test. The barlows use brass clamp rings for secure, non-marring holding of eyepieces and accessories. The Big Barlow with 2x magnification is parfocal with both 2" and 1¼" eyepieces with Newtonian scopes. It includes a 1¼" eyepiece adapter, threads for 48mm filters, a captive lock screw and is fully multicoated. The Big Barlow is not recommended for use with 2" diagonals. Its length prevents it from being parfocal. With some telescopes, focus might not be reached, particularly when the interface lens is also used with it. - 1¼" adapter allows it to be used with a 1¼" eyepiece as well as a 2"
