Product description Built to the exacting standards that define the brand, the 2" Tele Vue Everbrite 90° Star Diagonal is outfitted with a Pyrex optical glass mirror that has been coated with the proprietary Everbrite coatings that bring reflectivity to an amazing 99%. This virtually eliminates light loss and produces bright and clear images across the entire visual spectrum so colors are rendered accurately and resolution remains tack sharp. This version of the Everbrite is outfitted with a 2" barrel and eyepiece holder for use with larger equipment. A 1.25" reducer adapter is included to allow the smaller and more popular-sized eyepieces to also be used, along with a standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope (SCT) adapter that lets users use the diagonal on most catadioptric OTAs.This diagonal is machined from a single block of aluminum to ensure permanent alignment of the incoming and outgoing light and to eliminate heavy accessories from forcing the diagonal body to "unscrew" from the barrel—as can occur with two-piece diagonals. A non-marking or marring brass clamp ring holds the eyepiece firmly in place without damaging it, and the diagonal is outfitted with blackened anti-reflection 48mm filter threads. Placing the filter threads on the diagonal body makes observations easier by allowing users to change eyepieces without having to move the filter every time magnification is changed.
