Product description The Telefunken CU-29 Copperhead Tube Condenser Microphone Stereo Set is a matched pair of R-F-T Series large-diaphragm tube condenser mics designed to deliver versatility and full-range frequency reproduction of vocals and instruments for musicians, recordists, and audio engineers in home, project, and commercial recording studios. Each mic features a 1" single-membrane, center-terminated capsule with a cardioid polar pattern. NOS 6AK5W vacuum tubes and Lundahl LL1935 output transformers contribute to the low-frequency clarity and smooth, pristine highs of the CU-29s. Each component is hand-selected for optimal matching of mic characteristics. The 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and maximum SPL of 130 dB enable handling of anything from soft vocals and delicate piano to pounding drums and blaring horns. The CU-29s, their external dual power supply, proprietary 7-pin cables, and shockmounts fit securely in the locking flight case, which is constructed of Wisconsin hardwoods and covered in 1000pt Cordura. - Single-membrane version of the large-diaphragm capsule used in the AR-51 and AK-47 MkII microphones
- Hand-selected components for matched pairs—the capsules have matched frequency responses, the tubes have matched gain and noise specs, and the amplifier circuits have matched gain and frequency response
- Dual-channel supply can power one or both microphones at the same time and features a slow-ramping heater voltage to ensure longevity of the vacuum tube
- Utilizes American-designed electronics in conjunction with NOS (New Old Stock) tubes and Lundahl transformers
- Includes shockmounts, wooden mic boxes, proprietary 7-pin cables, dual power supply, and locking flight case
