Product description The Telefunken ELA M 251T Stereo Set is a matched pair of Diamond Series ELA M 251T large-diaphragm tube condenser microphones offering the sound of the legendary ELA M 251 with an updated twist. Ideal in stereo configurations on instruments such as drums, strings, piano, horns, and vocals, the ELA M251T Stereo Set microphones are tested and tuned with hand-selected components for the closest possible match. Each mic features a 25mm dual-sided, edge-terminated capsule with a selectable cardioid, omnidirectional, or figure-8 polar pattern. By utilizing Alloy 2213 for the membrane material, weight is decreased, rigidity is improved, and a higher damping factor is achieved. NOS ECC801S vacuum tubes and Haufe T14/1 output transformers contribute to the renowned low-frequency clarity and smooth, pristine highs of the ELA M 251T. The 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and maximum SPL of 132 dB enable handling of anything from soft vocals and delicate piano to pounding drums and blaring horns, all while delivering vintage-style tube warmth, accurate low frequencies, and a detailed high register. This stereo set includes an external dual power supply, universal shockmounts, 25' XLR 7-pin cables, oak mic boxes, and a locking flight case. - The dual-sided 25mm CK-13 capsule reproduces audio in pristine detail with greater low-frequency accuracy than the CK-12
- Utilization of Alloy 2213 instead of gold for the membrane enhances rigidity while providing airiness in the high frequencies
- The NOS ECC801S tube and Haufe T14/1 transformer contribute warmth and detail
- Selectable cardioid, omnidirectional, or figure-8 polar pattern
- To ensure the closest possible match between microphones, all components are hand-selected; capsules are tuned to each other, and transformers and tubes are tested for matched gain and frequency response
- The ELA M 251T sheds the classic mint green body color of the ELA M 250, 250E, 251, 251E, and 270 in favor of a sleek sulfamate nickel-plated finish to reflect the proprietary capsule technology
