Product description The BTR-240 2.4GHz Wireless Intercom Base Station (A4F) from Telex is a slim rackmount intercom base station that offers high-quality communication and versatile options. The durable metal base station works in conjunction with TR-240 beltpacks to provide clear wireless communication using license-free 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11b WLAN technology. Up to 8 beltpacks can work together in full-duplex mode, while a virtually unlimited number of half-duplex beltpacks can also be added. You can expand your coverage range by adding BTR-24 access points to your system, and the beltpacks can also act as access points.
The BTR-240 has multi-level security and audio encryption to ensure that your conversations stay private. ClearScan channel selection will automatically choose the best available wireless channel. The unit also has a 2-wire and 4-wire intercom interface to support wired beltpack operation. The A4F headset connector can automatically detect whether your headset has an electret or dynamic microphone, and will adjust accordingly.
The front panel has an easy-to-read LCD display that shows system status, and it also has easy-to-use controls for convenient operation. There are multiple antenna options and accessories available so you can modify your intercom system to meet your particular needs. Note: TR-240 beltpacks and BTR-24 access point available separately. - The slim metal housing fits into any standard 19" equipment rack
