Product description The Telex MCP90 is a gooseneck electret condenser microphone, designed for front panel connection to that company's RTS, and several Audiocom, wireless or wired intercom main stations. The wide frequency response and cardioid pickup pattern of the MCP90 allow for optimal speech intelligibility and minimal ambient intrusion. The unique, custom-threaded 1/4" TRS connector allows the microphone to be secured in a screw-like fashion to a main station front panel; the requisite phantom power is provided by the host station, and the mic will operate successfully within a wide 1.5 to 9 Volt range. - Miniature condenser gooseneck mic with proprietary threaded TRS connector for front panel attachment to Telex RTS and select Audiocom intercom stations
- Mic output impedance fully RTS compatible
- Back-electret design feature for greater sensitivity, wider frequency response and lower handling noise
- Frequency response and pickup pattern optimized for close-up use
- 1.5 - 9 Volt phantom power operation
- Supplied proprietary windscreen provides maximum pop filtering, response shaping and overload protection

| Subject: Difficult to remove the gooseneck mic. Help or advice needed. | | Date: 19.02.2026 06:20:34 | Name: Joe Matos | | Hi, I picked up an RTS KP-32 intercom and it has a gooseneck MCP90 mic installed, however I can't get it to come off. I read that it is reverse threaded 1/4" TRS, however when I tried by gripping it hard and turning clockwise, it still didn't come off. And turning counterclockwise also didn't come off. It seems stuck and I'm afraid to put too much pressure on it or use a vice grip or pliers to twist it off. Is there a trick to this that I'm missing or why is it so difficult to get off? Thanks for any advice or comment in advance. | | Post reply |
