Product description The TR-1 UHF Beltpack Transceiver with Digital Encryption from Telex offers simultaneous talk and listen capabilities (full duplex), and requires the use of a BTR-1 base station to operate. The base station can connect to multiple wired and wireless systems. A complete RT-S system is compatible with Audiocom, RTS-TW, Clear-Com, RTS Matrix and any 2-wire intercom system with interconnection jacks. The serial-number based proprietary digital encryption system protects your communications with over four billion possible code combinations. This is a frequency agile system, and a ClearScan functionality will locate available frequencies, and display the available channels—starting with those that are the most clear of RF traffic. The TR-1 can transmit at 50mW when set to high, 5mW when set to Low, and the transmission power can be adjusted from the base station when set at Auto. A large Push-to-Talk button is present on the top of the TR-1. A switch on the rear panel enables you to change the functionality of this button. In one position, the TR-1 will always be transmitting, and pushing the Push-to-Talk button simply activates the microphone on the connected headset (headset not included). In the other position, pushing the Push-to-Talk button activates both the transmitter and the microphone. You can switch between the various connected systems directly on the TR-1 beltpack. - A battery pack that holds six AA batteries is included
- Beltpack can run for up to nine hours using standard alkaline batteries
- A large On/Off & Volume knob is accessible on the top panel
- Low battery warning tone can be sent to the connected headset
