Product description Anatomy of a Teleprompter Read More The Telmax Futura 15" LCD Teleprompter with 15" LCD Monitor features a reading range up to 20', and can support cameras from DSLR to full-sized ENG cameras. The Inclining Vertical Mount (IVM) camera riser provides simple and secure height adjustment that allows you to use a variety of cameras and center them in the mirror. The 70/30 beamsplitter provides good contrast and readability. The monitor accepts HDMI and VGA inputs, and includes a power cord and 25' long VGA cable.
The prompter consists of three components: the baseplate, the head assembly, and the IVM, speeding assembly and breakdown. You can adjust the angle of the beamsplitter glass from completely flat up to approximately 45°, and it is secured using a springless system. A small fabric hood cinches around your lens preventing light from leaking around your lens and flaring your image. A plastic mirror cover protects your collapsed mirror from dust during transport and storage. The included downloadable ZaPrompt software can be loaded on up to four computers and provides the required mirroring functionality. -

- IVM (Inclining Vertical Mount)
- The IVM (Inclining Vertical Mount) is an adjustable or fixed variable height mount that, like the name indicates, inclines toward the mirror. The reason for the incline is that most cameras get shorter as they get smaller, so as you raise the camera platform the mount gets closer to the mirror. The IVM is held on to the baseplate by a knob, which has two possible configurations. The first configuration is to place the knob in a channel, which makes it easy to remove and re-install. The second configuration is to place the knob in a fixed threaded hole that will not allow the IVM to slip off the baseplate. Using the fixed position holes is preferable over the slipping channels, as it is more secure.
- Head Assembly
- The Head Assembly is the home of the Mirror, Mirror Enclosure, monitor, and mounting brackets. The FUTURA uses an optical-grade 70/30 beamsplitter mirror. The Mirror Enclosure features a pin-lock adjustment system that will allow the mirror to fold flat, making it more portable, and with very little effort allow the user to lock the mirror in the desired 45 degrees +/- position.
